About me

Ekaterina Mariposa, counsellor/psychologist

Hello and welcome!

I have been providing counselling for adults for over 13 years, helping them find ways through acute life difficulties, overcome crisis, and begin to live easer and happier lives.

My approach combines body-oriented psychology, gentle and attentive listening, as well as techniques from various modalities — including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), art therapy, dance and movement therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and work with imagery and internal metaphors.

I choose methods based on the client’s request and individual pace. In our work, not only words are important — but also how the body responds, what feelings and images arise, and how the person experiences themselves in therapy.

I help you gently explore how past experiences, emotions, and inner images are held in the body, expressed in everyday life, and affect your decisions & relationships with others.

Challenges can happen to anyone, at any stage of life — and sometimes they’re simply too much to handle alone, or to talk through with a friend. Some experiences are so private, so tender, that even acknowledging them to yourself can feel overwhelming.

It’s not unusual for someone to come to therapy, touch something deep, and then not return. The reasons often sound practical: “It’s too far to go,” “I don’t have time for this,” “Nothing will really change…” But the truth is, inner work isn’t easy. It’s not supposed to be — and that’s exactly what makes its outcomes so powerful.

The key to real change often lies in having steady, qualified support. In therapy, we explore your feelings, beliefs, and the ways you experience your daily life — through emotions, through the body, through your habitual reactions.

I’ll be glad to support you in your transformations.
